Sr. Business Intelligence Developer

Description:
Work in Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse environment with involvement in design, development, implementation, troubleshooting and support of ETL/ELT process using Azure ADF/Matillion; develop Data warehousing, Operational Data Store (ODS) and Data Mart on Microsoft SQL Server; write programming skills such as Complex Stored Procedures, Queries, Views, User Defined Functions, Cursors and Common Table Expressions using T-SQL; work in Performance Tuning and Query Optimization by Indexing, Partitioning and Denormalization; work in SQL programming for data analysis; work with Azure Data Factory, Matillion or other cloud ETL technologies; create, tune, and maintain complex SQL scripts, stored procedures, triggers, and functions and other database objects and executables; work in an Agile Environment; assist in/lead the delivery of technology focused Business Intelligence solutions, focused on delivering tailored/customized solutions for dashboards, reporting, and other data visualization tools; develop modern cloud BI and analysis solutions in close collaboration with internal/external teams; develop and implement comprehensive data processes for other analytics; create, maintain, and update technical documentation; define configuration specifications and business analysis requirements; define reporting and alerting requirements for business teams and leadership; maintain and support data analytics platforms and warehouses; develop solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation; and ensure solutions are consistent with organization objectives. Employee may work from home. Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the US. Job Requirements: Must have a Masters degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Information Technology plus 3 years of experience as a BI Developer or a substantially similar position. Alternatively, must have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Information Technology plus 5 years of experience as a BI Developer or a substantially similar position. Required experience must include all of the following: utilize the following tools: Metadata- and table-driven ELT and ETL Engines, Azure Synapse, Data Modeling, DAX, Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps and Power BI), and Microsoft SQL Server (SSAS, SSIS, SSRS); develop Data warehousing, Operational Data Store (ODS) and Data Mart on Microsoft SQL Server or Snowflake; write Complex Stored Procedures, Queries, Views, User Defined Functions, Cursors and Common Table Expressions using T-SQL; conduct Performance Tuning and Query Optimization by Indexing, Partitioning and Denormalization; perform SQL programming for data analysis; create, tune, and maintain complex SQL scripts, stored procedures, triggers, and functions and other database objects and executables; participate in all aspects of BI data warehouse/analytical projects including conceptualization, design, development, testing, selection, deployment, and post-implementation support.
