Playabilities is a multi-disciplinary pediatric occupational, physical, and speech therapy clinic located in Johnson County, Kansas. We provide personalized, intensive, and client-centered therapy services for children with various neurodevelopmental disabilities including developmental delays, autism, and sensory processing disorder. We provide a relaxed, yet professional work environment comprised of a collection of highly motivated, self-driven therapists who feed off of each other’s love for their job and compassion for helping our families. The culture of our clinic is service-oriented, and our highest objective is providing the best possible treatment and care for our clients, every step of the way. Responsibilities The Occupational Therapist is responsible for managing the entire client experience from initial evaluation to implementation of treatment to family education to discharge. No two children are the same and therapists will need to use their expertise and creativity to connect with their clients, implementing a variety of approaches to find the “just right” therapeutic fit for your clients. Our therapy style is primary play-based in a one-on-one setting however, co-treatment and group therapy is not uncommon. Expectations Therapist will need to be a quick learner, capable of juggling multiple tasks and responsibilities at one time while providing high-touch service to clients, families and caregivers. Requirements Applicants should have 2+ years of experience; Kansas Occupational Therapy License; A Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university; and A personal professional liability policy Availability The ideal candidate will have availability to work 5 days a week, with 3 days of extended availability (~8/9 AM to 6 PM). The position will be responsible for a range of 25-35 billable hours per week. The position will start with part time hours (10-15 hours/week) and build into a full time position (25-35 hours/week) over the course of the first few months of employment. Compensation This position is paid $47 per billable hour of therapy. Location This position will be at our Leawood clinic. Benefits Therapists that provide 25 or more billable hours of treatment per week are eligible to participate in our benefits package. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance. We also offer life insurance and short term disability so you can take care of yourself and your family!
