Orion Talent, the nation's largest military recruiting firm, is currently recruiting transitioning or former military professionals for Aircraft Mechanic positions with the leading provider of MRO and Aviation Line Maintenance Services throughout the United States and Internationally Position Details: Title: Aircraft Mechanic (SkillBridge with and without existing A&P license) Location: CVG Airport, Erlanger, KY (Cincinnati area) -Training Program: Formal training curriculum and OJT, For non- A&P license holders- Formal training curriculum and OJT focused on A&P license -Shift: 4 days on, 3 days off - 10-hour work day - open to alternative schedules -Compensation: Upon completion of Skillbridge, $28 - $41/hour depending on experience. -$12k retention bonus paid out over 2 years, + $2k in relocation assistance (outside 50 mile radius)., For non- A&P license holders -Upon successful completion of Skillbridge, $28 - $41/hour depending on experience. - Cost of A&P certification covered. Benefits: Offers a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k match, Life and Disability Insurance, as well as generous PTO and paid holidays. Housing: Allowance provided. Travel: No travel required. Position Description: Aircraft Mechanic Perform Line maintenance (on-call and scheduled) work on various customers' aircraft. Perform routine maintenance and airworthiness releases (within the scope of approval) returning aircraft to service. Responsible for servicing, inspecting, and maintaining aircraft, aircraft engines, and associated components. Troubleshoot systems; disassemble, repair, and reassemble sections and components to maintain fully functioning equipment according to Approved Technical Data provided by the customer. Ensure all departing aircraft are safe in accordance with FARs and the air carrier/manufacturer manuals and all work performed is properly documented. Perform line maintenance duties, activities, and maintenance tasks as assigned. Collaborate and communicate with the air carrier's maintenance control center as required. - Requirements: Must have a current valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant License, or Must have a current 8610-2 certification if working to obtain A&P license Must have a valid driver's license. Ability to frequently stand, walk, continually utilize hand, and finger dexterity, climb, balance, bend, or crawl, occasionally from heights in precarious places. - Ability to frequently lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds. Have the awareness that he/she will be working near and around moving mechanical parts, around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals and exposure to loud noises. - Utilize visual acuity to operate equipment and read technical information. - Be exposed to weather conditions outside as well as non-weather conditions such as extreme heat or cold. - Must be able to read and write English. - Must pass airport security background checks and travel for work as required. Must be willing to work flexible shifts to include nights and weekends to meet customer demand. Preferred qualifications: 2 - 5 years of experience working on Boeing aircraft types or A319, A320.
