Practice Area: IP - Litigation - Computer Science,IP - Litigation - Electrical Engineering,IP - Litigation - Hard Science General, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 6 Years, A law firm is seeking a Mid-Senior Level Patent Litigation Associate Attorney to work closely with clients, providing strategic solutions in navigating patent laws and representing them in various legal proceedings. Duties:Drafting pleadings, motions, memoranda, and correspondence for state and federal court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.Responding to complex discovery requests and preparing for defense and conduct of depositions.Preparing for trial, including exhibit lists, evidentiary objections, motions in limine, and witness preparation.Drafting Federal Circuit appeal briefs and supervising/training junior associates.Conferring, negotiating, and communicating with opposing counsel.Providing solutions for navigating competitors’ patents and extracting value from intellectual property. Requirements:6-8 years of patent litigation experience.Significant experience with drafting pleadings, preparing infringement and invalidity claim charts, Markman proceedings, patent-specific fact, and expert discovery.Experience with inter partes reviews and overall litigation strategy.Patent trial experience is a plus. Education Certifications:Admission to the USPTO.Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or substantial experience litigating matters in these or similar disciplines. Skills:Strong academic credentials.Excellent judgment and communication skills.Commitment to providing excellent client services.
