Practice Area: IP - Litigation - Computer Science,IP - Litigation - Electrical Engineering,IP - Litigation - Hard Science General, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 6 Years, A law firm in Boston is seeking a Mid-Senior Level Patent Litigation Associate Attorney to provide strategic counsel and representation to clients in navigating patent disputes. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in patent litigation, with a focus on drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests, as well as preparing for trials and appeals. Duties:Work closely with clients to navigate patent laws and judicial decisions.Provide solutions for overcoming competitors' patents and maximizing intellectual property value.Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and correspondence for state and federal court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.Respond to complex discovery requests and prepare for depositions and trials.Prepare exhibit lists, evidentiary objections, and motions in limine for trial preparation.Supervise and train junior associates.Prepare Federal Circuit appeal briefs. Requirements:6-8 years of patent litigation experience.Significant experience with drafting and responding to pleadings.Experience in preparing infringement and invalidity claim charts.Familiarity with Markman and claim construction proceedings.Expertise in patent-specific fact and expert discovery.Knowledge of inter partes reviews and overall litigation strategy. Education and Certifications:Admission to the USPTO is required.Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred.Substantial experience litigating matters in these or similar disciplines is highly desired. Skills:Strong academic credentials.Superb judgment and communication skills.Commitment to providing excellent client services.Patent trial experience is a plus.
