Job Overview:Work closely with clients to navigate patent laws and judicial decisions, providing solutions to protect intellectual property assets.Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and correspondence for state and federal court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.Conduct complex discovery requests and defend/respond to them.Negotiate and communicate with opposing counsel, prepare for and conduct depositions, and trial preparation.Prepare Federal Circuit appeal briefs and supervise/training junior associates.Patent trial experience is a plus. Duties:Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and correspondence for court proceedings.Conduct complex discovery requests and respond to them effectively.Negotiate and communicate with opposing counsel.Prepare for and conduct depositions.Prepare for trial, including exhibit lists, evidentiary objections, motions, and witness preparation.Prepare Federal Circuit appeal briefs.Supervise and train junior associates. Requirements:6-8 years of patent litigation experience.Significant experience in drafting/responding to pleadings, preparing infringement and invalidity claim charts, Markman proceedings, patent-specific fact, and expert discovery.Experience with inter partes reviews and overall litigation strategy. Education Certifications:USPTO admission.Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or substantial experience litigating matters in these or similar disciplines. Skills:Strong academic credentials.Superb judgment and communication skills.Commitment to providing excellent client services.
