Practice Area: IP - Litigation - Computer Science,IP - Litigation - Electrical Engineering,IP - Litigation - Hard Science General, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 6 Years, A law firm is seeking a Mid-Senior Level Patent Litigation Associate Attorney in Washington, DC. The candidate will work closely with clients to navigate patent laws and judicial decisions. Provide solutions for leveraging intellectual property assets while protecting them. Duties:Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and correspondence for state and federal court, arbitration, and mediation.Draft and respond to complex discovery requests.Confer, negotiate, and communicate with opposing counsel.Prepare for, defend, and conduct depositions.Prepare for trial, including exhibit lists, evidentiary objections, and witness preparation.Prepare Federal Circuit appeal briefs.Supervise and train junior associates. Requirements:6-8 years of patent litigation experience.Significant experience with drafting pleadings and responding to them.Experience with preparing infringement and invalidity claim charts.Familiarity with Markman and claim construction proceedings.Proficiency in patent-specific fact and expert discovery.Experience with inter partes reviews and overall litigation strategy. Education Certifications:USPTO admission.Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred.Substantial experience litigating matters in these or similar disciplines. Skills:Strong academic credentials.Superb judgment and communication skills.Commitment to providing excellent client services.
