Job Description -- -- This role is crucial in ensuring our production facilities adhere to all regulatory and company-specific sanitation requirements. The ideal candidate will have a background in sanitation or quality practices within the food manufacturing sector and demonstrate the leadership skills necessary to manage a team effectively. This position offers a clear path for career advancement, potentially leading to a Quality Management role in the future.-- Key Responsibilities:-- Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive sanitation programs that comply with local, state, and federal regulations as well as industry best practices. Conduct regular sanitation audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with all applicable standards. Lead, train, and manage a team of sanitation staff, providing them with the guidance and resources needed to perform their duties effectively and safely. Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to coordinate sanitation activities and minimize downtime without compromising food safety or quality. Stay informed on the latest developments in sanitation technologies and practices, and implement innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Manage the use and maintenance of sanitation equipment and supplies, ensuring they are used correctly and are in good working condition. Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports on sanitation activities, findings from audits and inspections, and corrective actions taken. Respond promptly and effectively to any sanitation emergencies or issues that arise, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Job Requirements A Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field. A minimum of one year of experience in a sanitation or quality role within the food manufacturing industry. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization. A thorough understanding of sanitation standards, practices, and regulations relevant to the food manufacturing industry. Proficiency in problem-solving and the ability to make decisions under pressure. Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently.
