During the 2023-2024 school year, RMP is driving after five big goals: Going Green on the Colorado School Performance Framework 90% Student Persistence 95% Average Daily Attendance Fully Enrolled by October Count Academics: PreK Students demonstrate one year of growth Kinder through 2nd Grade Students grow 1.25 years in ELA and Math 40% of 3rd through 5th-grade students meet their Millionaire Goal (one million words read) 40% of 6th through 8th grade students meet their millionaire goal (two million words read) High school: 100% College Acceptance Each member of the organization plays a part in achieving these goals. School-based staff members will work towards 2 or 3 metrics that are aligned to both their individual roles AND the Big 5. These metrics vary by position and are subject to change for the 2022-2023 school year. As a (Role Title), you will be held accountable for some of these goals. Role Mission We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our team. The School Psychologist will collaborate with educators, administrators, parents, and community partners to address the diverse needs of students and support their academic, social-emotional, and behavioral development. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in psychological principles, assessment techniques, and evidence-based interventions, as well as IDEA compliance and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. In this role, you will… Responsible Assessment and Intervention Practices in Special Education Conducts valid, fair, and legally defensible evaluations for Special Education and Section 504 eligibility, including students in center-based programming. Performs a variety of standardized and informal cognitive, executive functioning, social-emotional-behavioral, adaptive, and other assessments for students. Administers and interprets findings to identify student needs and develop subsequent appropriate interventions and services through IEP programming design Attends and contributes to IEP meetings as appropriate; presents results in clear, understandable terms to a variety of audiences (e.g., parents, students, staff, community) so that the recipient can make informed choices Assists with the implementation and monitoring of IEPs and 504 Plans (If applicable to assignment) Collaborates with and provides consultation to the center team to ensure the social-emotional needs of students are met Tiered Model of School Mental Health Interventions, Services, and Supports Participates in team approach on Functional Behavior Assessments and development of Behavior Intervention Plans; designs and implements and progress monitors services and intervention plans Collaborates with families and community providers to develop student intervention/action and intervention plans Work collaboratively with other school personnel to create and maintain a variety of services to support all students’ attainment of academic, social, emotional, and behavioral goals Takes lead on filing for truancy contempt and implementing a court order Preventative and Responsive Crisis Services Collaborates with school personnel, parents, students, and community resources to provide competent mental health support during and after crisis situations and support network crisis responses as needed, and follow ERCM network response team procedures Conducts suicide risk review process and nonsuicidal self-injury protocols according to training and best practices (e.g., follow protocol, inform parents, provide recommendations and referrals to community services, and often provide follow-up counseling and support at school) for students Participates in threat response system process according to training and best practices for students As appropriate, offers families resources and referrals for services in the community and supports families in navigating those services. Provides teacher consultation and classroom behavior observation Provides consultation to teachers who are implementing whole-class SEL Facilitates Manifestation Determinations for students with 504(s) and IEP(s) Support in the advocacy, administration, and/or interpretation of the universal social/emotional screening (BESS) Other Duties Other duties as assigned by the school Principal or Managing Director of Exceptional Student Services and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support Embody the PEAK core values in all of your daily functions, including being willing to persevere when a difficult situation arises, providing excellent service to our community, embodying a spirit of adventure, and living out kindness every day Qualifications Required : Meets all professional licensure requirements (i.e., CDE SSP License). Training and experience in restorative and trauma-informed approaches A commitment to the social-emotional well-being of all scholars and the culture of the school. Experience working with historically marginalized communities in any setting. Deep personal and professional commitment to growing as an anti-racist and anti-oppressive mental health provider. Ability to travel Independently in the metro area, including travel to and between campuses Preferred : Speaks Spanish Has experience working with English Learners Salary This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position with a salary range of $77,000-$105,000 depending on experience.
