Description:
Provide didactic training of residents and fellows: Providing psychology seminars (e.g., Mindfulness and Behavioral Therapies, Process Issues in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Research Seminar, Case Discussions). Providing weekly supervision for fellows. Conduct research on early course psychosis, young adult mental health, and parent- focused interventions. Serve as primary investigator for a qualitative project that examines family communications and mental health treatment engagement during early psychosis. Provide clinical care and assessment services to patients in the Outpatient clinic. Provide trauma focused psychotherapy treatment with individuals with severe mental illness, in particular first episode psychosis (FEP) and family members of individuals with FEP. Provide family caregivers coaching and group psychotherapy on how to approach communication with adolescents and young adults with psychosis or other mental health difficulties. Requirements: Must have PhD in Clinical/Counseling Psychology or equivalent MA Psychologist Licensure
