The Building People's Market Offerings and Business Lines include:--- Real Estate & Workplace--- Facilities Management & Maintenance--- Engineering & Construction Management--- Energy & Environmental--- Technology Integration--- Sustainability & Smart Buildings--- Human Capital--- Mission Support Job Description The Building People, LLC, has a position open for a full-time Facilities Manager with an active Top Secret ClearanceThe Facilities Manager manages multiple functions of building operations and maintenance for a facility, campus or portfolio of buildingsThe general responsibilities of the Facilities Manager are as follows, to include but not limited to:--- Develops and maintains positive relationships with clientsAttends client meetings.--- Coordinates, oversees and/or manages repair and maintenance work assignments performed by technicians, vendors and contractors performing building maintenance.--- Reviews work orders to ensure that assignments are completed.--- Responsible for facilities inspections and reports.--- Obtains and reviews price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects.--- Manages capital projectsPrepares capital project and operating budget and variance reports.--- Manages vendor relationships and trains vendors on work order and billing procedures.--- Responsible for invoice processing and accuracy of cost center coding.--- Conducts financial/business analysis including preparation of reports.--- Provides management to individual employees within single functional or operational area.--- Manages site preventive maintenance program and recycling programSkills & Requirements Qualifications and Education Required:--- Active Top Secret Clearance--- Associates degree or bachelor's degree required with focus on technical, engineering, or architectural areasPrior supervisory experience preferred.--- Minimum of four years of related experience and/or training preferredFacility Management certification preferred.--- Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational and analytical skillsAbility to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customersAbility to effectively present informationAbility to respond effectively to sensitive issues.--- Requires broad-based knowledge of financial terms and principlesAbility to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissionsConducts advanced financial analysis.--- Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documentsAbility to solve problems involving several options in situationsRequires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.--- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite programs, Outlook, and intranet/internetAbility to use work order systemWorking knowledge of architectural, electrical, and mechanical systemsWorking knowledge of leases, contracts, and related documents.--- Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, organizational policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlinesResponsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlinesQualifications *Our positions may require a background screening and clearance directly from the GovernmentADDITIONAL INFORMATION Competitive benefits for eligible employees include:--- Medical & Rx--- Dental--- Vision--- Flexible Spending Accounts--- 401(k) Retirement Plan--- Life Insurance/AD&D--- Long Term Disability and Short-Term Disability--- Paid Time Off--- Holiday Pay All positions require a background check after acceptance of our offerThe selected candidate will be eligible to begin employment before the background check has been finalizedHowever, continued employment will be contingent upon the results of your reference/background check from The Building People, LLCYour position may require special credentialing, clearance, and access as a condition of employmentIn the event the government or client does not sponsor or approve your clearance, it may result in termination of your employmentIf you need a reasonable accommodation for any part of the employment process, please contact us by email at and let us know the nature of your request and your contact informationRequests for accommodation will be considered on a case-by-case basisPlease note that only inquiries concerning a request for reasonable accommodation will be responded to from this e-mail addressFor more information, view the EEO is the Law Poster and Pay Transparency Statement .
