Senior Electronic Technologist

Description:
Operate, coordinate and maintain a multi-test chamber reliability test laboratory in support of the Client Design for Reliability process. Work with cross-functional teams, and report to the Manager-Reliability and Test Engineering. The position is in our Chicago, IL facility. Requirements Associate degree, or BS desirable in Electronics Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of hands-on environmental test chamber experience in Testing Electrical and Mechanical Product Hardware. Proficiency with Digital, Analog and Power Electronics circuitry and components. Proficiency with lab instrumentation (Programmable Power Supplies, O-Scopes, DMMs, Logic Analyzers, Thermocouples, Accelerometers, Data Loggers, etc.). Familiarity with the use and application of "HALT" chambers to perform Accelerated Step Stress Tests and Environmental Chambers to perform temperature cycling and temperature humidity tests. Proficiency with troubleshooting methods and techniques related to electronic and mechanical malfunctions. Prefer candidates who have worked in an R & D environment. Must have hands-on testing and/or laboratory experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, etc., to generate reports. Must be self-motivated, well organized, able to work in a team setting, and productive with minimum supervision.
