Description:
General job duties. Types of procedures required. Standard med/surg unit. We see occasional pediatrics, general surgeries, ortho surgeries, geriatrics, general medical patients. Constant care manages DKA insulin gtt, pressors, Bipap, Airvo, Detox. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.). Pyxis, EPIC, Plum pumps. Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?) Night Shift 1900-0700. No call required. Weekends are required. Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?)- No floating. Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept. 26. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only) Medical 4-5:1 CCU 3:1. Requirements Required skills and minimum years of experience. We need someone who can do CCU and also be comfortable handling a medical group if CCU is closed. 3 years minimum experience. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required.
