Description:
Recovering immediate post op heart patients and caring for other cardiac patient populations such as IABP and Impella. Types of procedures required. Cardiac Monitoring, Vents, Central Lines, Art Lines, Drip titration, Trach cares, Tube Feedings, Emergent Re-opening of Sternotomy at the bedside. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. IABP, Impella, Swans, Hamilton Vents, Alaris pumps, EVD's, Epic training. Requirements 2 years critical care/ICU experience in a CVICU. Experience with recovering patients immediately post op from open heart surgery up to the first 24 hours after surgery. Must have this experience within the last 12 months. Min 2 years CVICU experience. EPIC experience required. Experience working in larger hospital (300 beds min), level 2 or higher trauma center.
