Read on to learn more about this exciting opportunity and join our quest for the best.Equipment Engineer Essential Functions*: * Develop new technologies for small caliber ammunition. * Design and evaluate equipment/components and/or automation strategies for new and existing equipment to improve efficiency, product quality and/or performance, and reduce cost. * Assess equipment for potential safety hazards, implement safety protocols and procedures, and conduct risk assessments. * Create mechanical specifications for new equipment to ensure new equipment conforms to specifications. * Work closely with vendors throughout quotation, design, and build. * Perform Root Cause Analysis and implement corrective actions. * Direct and coordinate internal and external personnel on the installation of new equipment and equipment improvements which may be on multiple/parallel projects. * Develop, define and document manufacturing processes, tooling and gaging. * Work with cross-functional groups to define and complete testing to support process changes. * Actively participate in and lead group activities to support continuous improvements including design, test, and evaluation of alternative materials, and components. * Work directly with production and quality department personnel to troubleshoot, find the root cause, and implement corrective actions. * Assist maintenance in all aspects of electrical/mechanical troubleshooting. * Support the creation of project proposal packages including cost estimates, schedules, and integrated master plans. * Provide informal status updates, formal written reports, and lead recurring team meetings with multiple internal and external stakeholders. * Perform tasks ensuring the project and program meet established financial goals and project schedules. * Utilize a gated review process to design, procure, install, and test products, equipment, and processes in a high-speed, high-precision manufacturing environment. * Interface with multidisciplinary production teams, customers, suppliers/contractors, engineers, and designers to identify, prioritize, and support improvements to manufacturing equipment, processes, and facilities to include organizational leaders at various levels.Equipment Engineer Position Requirements*: * Bachelor's Degree** in Engineering; Mechanical Engineering or related discipline preferred. * Minimum two years of related equipment engineering experience. * Possess strong technical knowledge and understanding of engineering principles related to field of study.
