Director, Information Technology - Cyber Security, Infrastructure and Cloud

Description:
Responsibilities: Provide leadership in creating department IT strategy aligned with business goals. Co-create policies and procedures for infrastructure, security, cloud, and operations management. Lead planning, design, implementation, and validation for infrastructure projects and corporate security requirements. Develop, implement, and maintain policies, operational standards, and procedures for various IT functions. Identify new technologies to facilitate company goal success and provide recommendations to leadership. Manage on-premise and cloud-based operations, including environmental and security systems. Manage the design, maintenance, development, and evaluation of all infrastructure systems. Monitor and control the performance of corporate hardware and software systems. Design, implement, and maintain IT platforms with a security-first focus, following the Zero Trust Model. Develop and maintain an internal audit plan to support IT and company security objectives. Maintain patch management, user training, network and operational maintenance, including Disaster Recovery processes. Execute security management tasks, including the monitoring, installation, and activation of security tools. Create and execute a network and security operational center (SOC), including internal and external resources. Implement and maintain a strong change control process culture within the IT team to minimize flaws in environmental changes. Manage support team to foster a culture of service delivery and ensure adherence to quality standards. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or similar STEM concentration. MBA/MS a plus. 12 years of experience in cyber, cloud, and infrastructure administration, design, architecture, and support. Relevant certifications such as CISA, CISSP, AWS, Azure, or equivalent desirable. Understanding and experience in rare disease space advantageous. Hands-on skills with a proven track record of building and managing enterprise-class security and infrastructure services. Expertise in regulations impacting information security (e.g., GDPR, SOX, HIPPA, HITRUST). Demonstrated knowledge of cloud systems and compliant security best practices. Experience in managing M365, Active Directory, Identity Management, SSO, MFA, endpoint security applications, etc. Advanced understanding of networking, protocols and languages, system administration, and security elements. Technical expertise in enterprise architecture, IoT, AI, and laboratory technologies. Strong communication, influential leadership, mentorship, relationship management, and project management skills.
