Clinical Research Coordinator

SUMMARY Work with research team to recruit patients, manage data, and contribute to the success of innovative studies to expand genetic testing to treat common conditions. REQUIREMENTS Recruit participants from outpatient clinical settings into the studies Obtain informed consent Collect, maintain and organize study information using electronic databases Administer in-person/phone surveys as well as collect clinical information such as participant blood pressure and blood or saliva samples Communicate with study participants by telephone to schedule appointments and conduct reminder calls for follow-up data collection Develop and maintain relationships with clinic personnel at study recruitment sites Assist in preparing study-related documents and maintaining study files Conduct literature searches and assist in grant submissions and dissemination of study findings as needed Assist in all other daily activities of the research study (preparing mailings, study documents, reports, etc.) Bachelor's degree required Phlebotomy skills (training can be provided if not already certified) Willingness to travel across study sites in Manhattan and the Bronx Excellent oral and written communication skills Highly motivated, team player, highly attentive to detail and very organized; must be able to work in a multidisciplinary field and fast-paced environment. Previous clinical research experience and experience working with diverse populations required Basic computer and internet navigational skills required Computer literacy with Windows-based operating systems and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint) required Experience with SPSS/SAS statistical analysis software preferred Basic knowledge of Endnote app for organizing citations preferred Experience with Redcap database and survey software preferred Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) technology preferred Bilingual English/Spanish required.
