Job Description Sr. Project Engineer is mutually responsible for supporting the Pallecon Team in achieving business objectives through Capital projects, equipment deployment, and customer solutions. Solely responsible for creating, driving and meeting project timing, objectives and budget projections. Location: Field Based, USA - must be near a major airport to accommodate travel Travel Requirements: 50% North America, occasional weekends for new installations. Scope Annual CCPS Capital Budget: +$XM (USD) Number of Countries: 2 - US & Canada Number of Locations: 6 Service Centers, numerous customer locations Authority/ Decision Making Managing individual capital projects with budgets up to $3M Purchasing Recommendations Resolving Customer/Operations problems through root cause analysis Working autonomously Challenges Working extended periods, including weekends during project implementation Working across time zones or cultures Working autonomously and independently Leading project teams through influence and process rather than direct authority Heavy travel required (up to50%) Key contacts Plant Operations Managers, Supply Chain Director, Planning, Logistics, Finance, Global Engineering, Commercial Equipment suppliers, Plant/Service Centre Management Groups, Customers Qualifications Bachelor of Science Degree in one of the following engineering disciplines: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Structural Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering Project Management Must have experience with Rockwell Studio Suite for PLC Experience 4 to 8 years of project engineering and / or related project management experience 5 years in an automation environment with proven skills in Rockwell PLC and controls equipment. Operations experience, supporting production a plus Effective Communication and Collaboration with multiple levels within the organization and with external customers Material handling experience, conveyance, robotics Building and implementing equipment maintenance systems Minimum 3 years experience implementing Lean/6 Sigma methodologies in manufacturing environment Skills and Knowledge Familiar with basic industrial electrical wiring, process piping, and machine guarding principles Rockwell Automation PLC, Drives, and control systems Automated wash equipment, particularly Colussi, a plus Familiarity with material handling stacking and conveyor systems Familiar with project management methods and tools such as MS Project Working knowledge of the use of AutoCAD Familiar with capital project justification methods (ROI, IRR, NPV) Basic financial management skills with a focus on capital expenditure Maintenance Software programs like TPC Skilled in the use of Lean/6 sigma methodologies and tools such as waste identification and removal through the use of Kaizen workshops, VSM, 6S and Visual Factory, SMED, Andon Pull Systems, Poke Yoke, OCC, TPM and KPI's Language: English ; Desired: Spanish#MON Preferred Education Bachelors Preferred Level of Work Experience 5 - 7 yearsFully RemoteWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and we are committed to developing a diverse workforce in which everyone is treated fairly, with respect, and has the opportunity to contribute to business success while realizing his or her potential.
