Position Summary As a central point of contact with mid-level experience, must play a critical role in ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for incoming new hires and departing employees by collaborating across various departments (including Accounting/Finance, Information Technology, Marketing, Records, and Facilities) in relation to the onboarding and offboarding processes. Beyond the core responsibilities, the role actively contributes to various HR projects and, by utilizing an eye for detail and compliance expertise, will complete audits to maintain HR processes' integrity and adherence to regulations. Essential Functions Facilitate onboarding process for new hires joining across all US offices, including background check, I-9 Form, new hire paperwork, conflicts check, onboarding checklist preferences, etc.; Manage and audit background check requests for new hires and requests via the Ethical Wall Team to ensure company standards are met. Oversee I-9 process, ensuring compliance with DHS guidelines and maintaining accurate records. Liaise across departments to facilitate new hire's successful onboarding including account setup, IT equipment, operations matters, orientation setup, etc.; Facilitate onboarding processes for large group hires including Summer Associates & New Associates annually. Facilitate staff offboarding process for departures across all US offices including liaising with Local HR/HRBP to collect departure information, communicating exit procedures with departing employee, connecting with HR Specialist regarding data entry, etc. Oversee Quarterly Departure Checklist Audit to ensure departmental compliance with firm requirements. Approve data entry transactions for personnel changes in HRIS system, ensuring accurate and up to date records. Provide backup support for specific department members during their absences. Conduct research as requested by other members of the department to assist in various HR Projects. Complete other duties and special projects as assigned by HR Manager. Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree in a professional discipline or equivalent experience preferred. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of Human Resources Generalist experience required. Previous PeopleSoft experience a plus. Skills: Strong computer skills including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word (merge function) and basic Excel. Ability to prioritize workload and solve problems quickly. Must be able to assist individuals of various levels with needs and problems and react to difficult situations appropriately. Confidentiality and attention to detail are essential. Other Supervisory Responsibilities: None Equipment To Be Used: Personal computer and other office equipment such as telephone, calculator, fax, machine, copier, scanner, etc. Typical Physical Demands: Manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment. Typical Mental Demands: Able to work effectively in a fast paced environment. Make judgment decisions and adapt to changing work situations. Grasp and apply new ideas. Communicate with various personalities at all levels. Working Conditions: You will be required to work in the office a minimum of 2 days per week .
