Psychiatrists needed in Northern CaliforniaOpenings in: Yuba City & Chico, CA - Yuba City: 45 minutes to Sacramento, CA - Chico, CA - 90 miles north of Sacramento - Full Time - PermanentMAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:1) Assess and screen patients by conducting psychiatric evaluations, including interviews, medical histories, physical exams, observations, and psychological testing 2) Analyzes data and results of assessments to diagnose patients3) Thoroughly document patients diagnosis, symptoms, medical and treatment effectiveness4) Develops comprehensive treatment plans, measure progress against the plan, and make adjustments as needed 5) Prescribes and administers medications according to diagnosis 6) Monitors patient to determine efficacy and potential side effects of medications 7) Consults with other medical professionals and psychologists 8) Provides patients with emotional support and strategies to help manage their disorder 9) Supervises and directs family nurse practitioners, physician assistants and other mid-level providers10) Other physician duties as assigned by supervisorPROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:1) Must hold MD degree from an accredited medical school and completion of an approved Psychiatric residency2) Must be Board certified or eligible in Psychiatry 3) Must have completed and approved internship4) Must hold a valid California State Physician and Surgeon License5) Current CPR certification6) Current DEA license7) Must be sensitive to the corporations diverse patient populatio
