A new Civil Engineering Quantity Surveyor position has just landed near Ashford, in Kent Are you looking for a new challenge? Are you looking to work for a well known civil engineering contractor, who hold an excellent reputation? If so, read on. Location: Near Ashford, Kent Contract type: Permanent Start date: ASAP Salary: GBP55 : 70k (negotiable : depending upon experience) Randstad CPE Contact: Louise Pridmore (Maidstone branch) The Projects: A diverse portfolio of civil engineering schemes ranging from road improvements, concrete repairs and reinstatements, aviation projects, paving repairs, utilities and specialist framework projects. The Role: This is the perfect opportunity working with a well known civils contractor, who hold an excellent reputation in the regionally. This role will be site / office based 5 days a week, with some potential flexibility. You will be responsible for: Procuring sub: contractors, agreeing prices and letting the packages Negotiating costs with various parties Drawing up contracts (NEC) Monthly reporting (CVR) Responsible for work package change control and management Dealing with any pricing variations Responsible for project re: measure Preparing final accounts Change management Managing subcontractors Working within an integrated team Requirements: NEC 3 or 4 (Option B and E experience) Degree / HND in Quantity Surveying Excellent IT and maths skills are essential Attention to detail Excellent report writing and negotiation skills are essential Experience in : highways, bridges, infrastructure, environmental, frameworks and special works Benefits: GBP55,000 : 70,000 per annum (depending on experience) + package If this role sounds of interest to you, or if you know someone who may be interested, please apply for more informaiton.
