The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong drafting skills, contract analysis capabilities, and the ability to manage a team.Duties:Draft and negotiate construction contracts, including EPC, EPCM, BOP, equipment supply, and operation and maintenance contracts.Provide legal advice and support on construction-related matters to clients in the energy industry.Conduct legal research and analysis on complex construction law issues.Collaborate with partners and senior associates to develop legal strategies and solutions.Manage a team of legal professionals, providing guidance and supervision as needed.Represent clients in dispute resolution proceedings, including mediation, arbitration, and litigation.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Washington, DC Bar or eligibility for admission by motion.Minimum of 3+ years of experience working on construction contracts, preferably in the energy industry.Strong understanding of construction law principles and regulations.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Skills:Proficiency in drafting and negotiating construction contracts.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage a team effectively.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Attention to detail and accuracy in legal documentation.Familiarity with the energy industry and its legal requirements.Proficiency in legal research and writing.
