We’re looking for a highly skilled individual who is ready to jump in and help our home service contractors achieve more than they ever thought possible. This position will play an integral role in helping our customers gain and/or refine strong accounting practices. With the guidance and support of a senior level accountant in this role, contractors will learn about and gain confidence in the financial operations of their businesses, which will help them achieve or sustain profitability in their business. Qualifications:As the Director of Accounting Training you will: Identify contractor issues and determine needs for content, tools, and training. Research best practices in accounting and be ahead of the curve on content, tools, and training presented to the network. Design, plan, organize, or direct training programs for customers. Present information with a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures. Obtain, organize, or develop training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, such as handouts or visual materials. Help evaluate modes of training delivery, such as in-person or virtual, to optimize training effectiveness, training costs, or environmental impacts. Offer specific training programs to help workers of our customers maintain or improve job skills. Proactively contact contractors to offer support and build relationships. Visit and host (“visit”) contractors approximately 4-6 times per year. Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in accounting, 3-5+ years in acounting and/or a combination of education and experience that illustrates a proven track record in this field. Public accounting experience and CPA license preferred. In-depth knowledge and skill in accounting or finance with a full understanding of GAAP. Demonstrated skill and ability in analyzing financial statements, developing questions and comments around areas of concern, and making recommendations to resolve issues. Must be detailed oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficient in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel and Word, Outlook and video meeting software. Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements. Strong communication and interpersonal skills and adept at building and developing customer relationships.
