We strive to optimize environmental resiliency in a way that effectively complements our clients' decision-making and operations and efficiently fulfills their project requirements.We have over 135 offices across the United States, Canada, Europe, and Australia and over 300 employees - all ready to provide solutions for environmental needs.A DAY IN THE LIFEOur Environmental Construction Monitor (Field Service Technician) position is located in West Los Angeles.The Environmental Construction Monitor (Senior Field Service Technician) will monitor construction compliance for a large transportation project based in West Los Angeles, California. The Environmental Compliance Monitor will liaise between the management team and the construction contractor to facilitate compliance with environmental mitigation measures and permit conditions.The Environmental Construction Monitor (Field Technician) will work a standard 8 to 12-hour shift in a construction environment but will have flexibility in variable shift schedules. They must also be willing to respond to "on-call" assignments as needed. This is not your typical company; come work at Montrose and be inspired! This is a field job; you must be able to drive to the Beverly Hills area daily. Local applicants only.As a key member of the team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities, including: * Environmental construction monitoring, field coordination, and scheduling, providing specialized assessments and surveys, report preparation, construction monitoring, and other services related to compliance with the project's regulatory requirements. * Issue non-compliance events, maintain records of compliance activities, and provide daily and weekly reports. * Monitor compliance with traffic, parking, acoustic and vibrational, air quality, business mitigation, and other areas. * Coordinate and communicate with construction staff and management to ensure compliance with environmental permits. * Maintain confidentiality at all times. * Exercise safe work practices by following all Company safety rules and OSHA-regulations, including attendance at all required safety training programs. * Participate in the company's continuous improvement programs and provide support to team efforts. * Keep up-to-date and current on industry trends by completing formal training, reviewing professional publications, and attending professional workshops. * Perform other duties as assigned.YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLSTo perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.MINIMUM Qualifications * Preferred BS in Planning, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Engineering, or equivalent experience * Environmental Compliance: 3 years (Preferred) * Between 1 to 3 years of professional experience in environmental planning, consulting, or a similar field. * Compliance monitoring and reporting experience on similar projects is preferred. * Basic knowledge and familiarity with environmental regulations, including CEQA/NEPA, planning requirements, and other environmental policies in California. * Familiarity working with multidisciplinary teams, clients, agencies, and consultants. * Ability to maintain professional relationships with diverse groups, including field staff, contractors, and clients. * Aptitude for effective communication and conflict resolution between project personnel. * Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite. * Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to present to supervisors. * Organizational skills and attention to detail.WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU As a key member of our Montrose team, you can expect: * Competitive compensation package: annual salary ranging from $28 to $34, commensurate with accomplishments, performance, credentials, and geography. * Mentorship and professional development resources to advance your career. * Direct exposure to our industry's leading experts who are solving the world's toughest environmental challenges. * An entrepreneurial environment where you can learn, thrive, and collaborate with talented colleagues. * Opportunities to engage and contribute in our Diversity, Fairness, and Inclusion, and Women Empowering Leadership employee resource groups.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
