Job Description Amentum is a leading provider of engineering, scientific, and program management support servicesWe are at the forefront of breakthrough technology development and demonstration programs in multiple areas, including hypersonics, Unmanned Air Vehicle and Autonomous Systems, advanced sensors, propulsion, aircraft and space science systemsThis will be a part time position, working 20 hours a weekAmentum is currently seeking talented, enthusiastic, and dynamic individuals to support DARPA and Space Development Agency in formulating, coordinating, monitoring, and transitioning advanced research and development programs to the U.SmilitaryApplicants must possess superior oral and written communications skillsCandidates should be self-starters capable of working both independently and as part of a teamDesired areas of initial technical subject matter area include:--- Hypersonics--- Sensor design of different modality--- Autonomy AI and Machine leaning--- Material Science--- Aero Performance--- Missile S/W--- Solid Rocket Motor--- Hydrodynamics--- Naval propulsion Technical and management responsibilities may include:--- Providing technical support in monitoring the execution of advanced technology development and prototype demonstration programs--- Performing independent technical assessments and feasibility analyses of new technologies and system designs--- Attending, monitoring, and reporting on system field testing and demonstrations--- Supporting technical interchange meetings and design reviews--- Developing and running simulation models--- Support the Identifying and implementing new program concepts--- Providing program management and acquisition support--- Authoring program status briefings and technical reports--- CONUS travel - 25% Minimum Qualifications: --- MS with 20 years or PhD with 15 years --- Experience in relevant commercial or defense-related systems development programs --- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance and a TS/SCI clearance Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret clearance and TS/SCI clearance --- Ability to work in a dynamic team environment --- Excellent oral and written communication skills Desired qualifications: --- Experience in commercial or defense-related technology research and/or development programs Amentum is proud to be an Equal Opportunity EmployerOur hiring practices provide equal opportunity for employment without regard to race, religion, color, sex, gender, national origin, age, United States military veteran's status, ancestry, sexual orientation, marital status, family structure, medical condition including genetic characteristics or information, veteran status, or mental or physical disability so long as the essential functions of the job can be performed with or without reasonable accommodation, or any other protected category under federal, state, or local lawLabor Law Posters EEO including Disability/Protected Veterans
