At Lakeshore Tennis Camps the Camp Counselor’s main role is to help campers have a fun and safe day at camp! Camp Counselors spend the summer working with kids of different ages, engaging in a range of fun tennis activities including drills and games! A summer to remember for campers and counselors alike! Lead and organize group activities and games per the daily schedule. Tennis games consist of skills and drills, fun games, and match play for the older kids. Tennis is the main programming of the day, with recess and swimming included. Support the Tennis Pro in overseeing activities, ensuring lines move quickly, feeding balls, and connecting with each child. Move the group between activities and support in getting lunch and snack organized. Participate in daily camp instructing alongside a group of other dynamic counselors. This is an active role the requires participation in activities. Be a leader in the space, ready to show up with a positive attitude and solution oriented mindset. Daily swimming for a fun swim is required of all staff. QUALIFICATIONS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Ability to multi-task and establish priorities Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment. Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership. Ability to maintain flexible attitude and approach towards assignments and successfully operate under ambiguous guidelines.
