Our law firm is seeking a family attorney who can assist our clients in navigating the sensitive legal issues of family law, including child custody, child abuse, and domestic violence. Jobseekers should be equally familiar with prenuptial agreements, divorce, alimony, child support, and real estate, and be able to effectively engage in oral debate and negotiation even in highly stressful and emotional situations. Responsibilities: • Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings as needed• Keep client files properly organized and up to date• Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed• Prepare legal documents such as legal pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases• Help solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action Qualifications: • At least 1-2 years of working in a law firm on family law issues as well as real estate (determining marital property) is necessary• Bachelor’s degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are required• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations• Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association)• Proven record of success in advocating for plaintiffs and defendants • Bilingual in Spanish and/or French• A bachelor’s degree with a legal background and a J.D. degree is required• 2-3 years of experience in working with family law required• Active membership with the ABA (American Bar Association) • Ability to successfully represent both the plaintiff and defendant sides of a case• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations Compensation: $75,000 - $110,000 About Company: Atlanta Family & Immigration Law is a team of highly compassionate and focused individuals worldwide who look forward to providing excellent resolutions to high-conflict legal matters.
