Join our expanding team at Integrated Proteins in Kansas City, KS as a Quality Technician. Your primary role will involve conducting tests and inspections on products to ensure adherence to our high-quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals committed to delivering exceptional animal products. You will have the chance to enhance your skills and expertise in a stimulating and fulfilling work setting. We are looking to fill multiple shifts: Weekday 1st Shift (5:00 am to 1:30 pm) Weekday 2nd Shift (1:00 pm to 9:30 pm) Responsibilities:• Perform standardized tests on product• Notify production and management immediately when the product is out of specification• Assist in managing retain program• Create Retain samples for all inbound and outbound loads (for 6-month storage)• Complete paperwork as directed using good documentation practices• Monitor shared lab email inbox and make sure all emails are responded to in a timely manner• Maintain a clean and orderly workspace• Perform regular cleaning and maintenance on lab equipment• Notify Lead and Quality Manager when supplies are running low• Provide information to production staff and management when requested• Communicate any safety or quality concerns with plant management and corporate quality• Keep lab neat and clean• Other duties as assigned Qualifications:• College degree preferred• S. Diploma or GED and 1+ year laboratory experience• Proficiency with Office 365 (primarily Excel, SharePoint, Outlook)• Reliable, Organized, Efficient, Attention to detail• Clear verbal communicator• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment• Ability to manage multiple projects independently• Able to multi-task and prioritize• Able to work independently and as part of a team• Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, walk, reach, squat, push, pull, and climb stairs for extended periods of time• Must be able to work from elevated surfaces and/or in confined spaces for extended periods of time• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs Compensation: $21 - $22 hourly About Company: Integrated Proteins™ is recognized as an industry leader in sourcing and trading rendered pet food proteins.
