Security Guard (Roving & Access Control) with Security Clearance

The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Roving Patrol Guard to support our government customer located at Red Hill Bulk Fuel Storage Facility (RHBFSF), Honolulu, Hawai'i Will support varying shifts to cover non-traditional working hours such as evenings, overnight, weekends and holidaysDESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:--- This work may require work in unconditioned construction zones; must be willing and able to wear hard hats, steel toe boots, safety vest, and other applicable PPE.--- This work may also require exposure to loud equipment noises and associated dust typically found in construction zone areas.--- Responsible for conducting Facility Roving Watch Services for primary and collateral spaces of the facility.--- Roving watch route to be physically walked by the Roving Patrol GuardThe total round trip distance of the route is approximately 2.5 miles.--- Complete the facility roving watch route at a minimum of every four hours.--- Identify and report the following abnormal incidents:--- Discoloration of piping--- Leaks on the ground--- Hydrocarbon odor--- Sounds (pipe vibrations, pipe movement, hissing)--- Unsafe conditions (Large pools of fluid, dislocated electrical wires, etc.)--- Condition of existing tamper seals--- Operating Status of Sump Pumps--- Operating Conditions of Ventilation Fans/Blowers--- Conditions of Fire Extinguishers--- Unauthorized Visitors--- Suspicious activities--- Complete a Facility Roving Watch Checklist each round; submit daily.--- Complete a written incident report for all abnormal incidents identified and submit dailyREQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:--- Must have a high school graduate or GED equivalent.--- Must have the ability to clearly communicate in written and spoken English.--- Must be willing and able to acquire your Security Guard Employee Registration (Guard Card) REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:--- Must be physically capable of frequently walking on average two to three (2-3) miles every four (4) hours over uneven and slightly sloped surfaces.--- Must be physically capable of standing for periods of four (4) hours at a time.--- Must be physically capable of climbing an approximately 220' segmented ladder well to egress the facility.--- Must have adequate sight (at least 20/40 corrected or natural), sound (able to hear a whispered voice from 5 feet away), and smell (ability to detect hydrocarbon odors) sensory factors to perform the required services.--- Must be willing and able to sign nondisclosure agreementsREQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:--- Must be U.SCitizen--- Must be willing to obtain a favorable Tier 3 Background Investigation and have a favorable fingerprint reportThe Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is a fast-growing government service providerEmployees enjoy competitive salariesEligible full-time employees enjoy a 401K plan with company match; medical, dental, disability, and life insurance coverage; tuition reimbursement; paid time off; and 11 paid holidaysWe are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action EmployerWe are proud to state that we do not discriminate in employment decisions on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, protected veteran status, or disability statusIf you are a person with a disability and you need an accommodation during the application process, please click here to request accommodationWe E-Verify all employeesThe Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is comprised of industry-recognized government service firms designated as Native Hawaiian Organization (NHO)-owned and 8(a) certified businessesThe Family of Companies (FOCs) includes Ke`aki Technologies, Laulima Government Solutions, K--pono Government Services, and K--pili Services, Po`okela Solutions, K--kaha Solutions, LLC, and Pololei Solutions, LLCAlaka`ina Foundation activities principally benefit the youth of Hawaii through charitable efforts which includes providing innovative educational programs that combine leadership, science & technology, and environmental stewardshipFor additional information, please visit www.alakainafoundation.com #LI-JS1 #ClearanceJobs
