Assist in the evaluation and implementation of strategies and activities that enhance business performance and supports the long-term interests of the Company. Research issues, projects, methodologies and impact of sustainable initiatives. Calculate and maintain the company's greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventory and assess the carbon impact. Analyze, monitor and support implementation of the Company's sustainability activities and pathways to ensure they are cost effective and support the Company's mission and greenhouse gas reduction target. Principal Accountabilities Time % End Results 25%Collect and maintain scope 1, 2 and 3 data necessary for the company's GHG emissions inventory, implement and maintain the company's Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory Management Plan, and annually complete the company's greenhouse gas emissions inventory reporting and comparison documents. Monitor the company's progress towards greenhouse gas emission reduction goals. When necessary, design new ways of tracking emissions where systems do not already exist. Develops and owns calculations to support CDP and other reporting frameworks. Act as a subject matter expert on the Company's sustainability software for greenhouse gas reporting. Facilitate third party review and verification of greenhouse gas emissions.30%Support and help develop the company's carbon reduction and net zero execution plan. Perform impact assessment and roadmap development of scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions including developing tools and metrics to assist in monitoring progress, and developing forecasts and cost projections to aid in strategy development. Support other departments to achieve all scopes sustainability goals. 15%Engage with teams across the company to understand processes and quantify carbon impact. Gather information from appropriate company sources to assist in the development of sustainability and carbon impact reports, presentations, or proposals. Prepare progress or status reports.5%Analyze and interpret data to help create and maintain an employee incentive system to promote sustainability and reduce the company's carbon footprint.5%Provide impact analysis and data for sustainability and carbon impact risk and opportunity assessment and analysis.5%Assist in development and implementation of communication strategies to publicize the company's carbon reduction effort, customer options, and promote broad awareness of sustainability climate change initiatives.5%Assist in the development, review, assurance and publication of the company's annual corporate sustainability and responsibility report and climate transition reports.As NeededCapitalizes on unplanned opportunities and responds to unforeseen situations; undertakes and completes assignments and special projects as assigned by management. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience. Demonstrated experience in greenhouse gas accounting principles and procedures of GHG quantification and reporting. Experience managing large and complex data projects. Utility sector sustainability experience desired. Ability to achieve sustainability management certification(s) if required. Excellent analytical skills, paying attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and PC skills. Ability to make independent decisions and demonstrate a high level of initiative and proactive approach to problem-solving. Knowledge of key company business practices and processes.
