Application Engineer Heat and Control, one of the worlds leading manufacturers of food processing, seasoning, conveying, packaging and inspection equipment systems, is seeking an Application Engineer to work with our internal technical groups as lead and support in system solutions. The Application Engineer position is a technical sales/customer support position that works to support internal and external customer requirements while supporting corporate goals. Heat and Control is a well established, industry-leading company with facilities worldwide. We design, engineer and build the machinery that creates and packages prepared meats, poultry and seafood, french fries, baked and fried snacks, and other quality foods. Our name is synonymous with innovation, quality and service throughout the world. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Understand Food Processing equipment to make application recommendations. Utilize AutoCAD to generate pre-sale Conceptual Layout Drawings (CLD) in 2D. Create cost estimates for custom engineered and manufactured equipment In SAP. Generate and assemble quotes. Utilize Microsoft Dynamics CRM to prioritize workload. Drive the sales handover process to the project team upon order receipt. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS / EXPECTATIONS: S. in engineering, related technical field, or equivalent experience with food equipment. 2-5 years in cost estimating or sales engineering. CAD experience including 2D layouts required, 3D experience is a plus. Experience with SAP and CRM (Customer Relations Management) software is a plus.
