Business Development Manager Responsibilities: Provide tactical tools to the firm's business development team members to assist them in their sales efforts. Guide the day-to-day sales activities of the business development team members. These may include screening and qualifying Request for Proposals, identifying project and teaming opportunities, establishing relationships with potential partners, initiating meetings with clients / teaming partners, and engaging in business development strategy discussion with leadership while bringing market analysis and original thinking to the discussions. Collaborate with leadership in setting business development strategy, identifying key target clients and emerging opportunities to maintain existing business and secure new business. Create, curate, and manage lists of target client prospects. Manage the CRM to maximize its use for overall sales, opportunity pipelines, and provide real-time reports. Understand the competitive landscape of the A/E/C industry and identify strategic opportunities and threats. Conduct in-depth, independent market research and intelligence gathering, interpret the results, and translate the findings into targeted business development strategies. Identify and track relevant metrics of business development success and report status to the leadership and business development teams. Identify new client needs and analyze the needs of current/repeat clients to maximize value for both clients and the firm. Monitor and evaluate existing Ashley McGraw business development processes to provide suggestions for remaining competitive and current with industry trends. Understand key market drivers that we should be ahead of and prioritize efforts to get involved at the right time. Develop and maintain a network within targeted market areas to increase the firm's win probability. Contribute content to proposals as required by the Director of Marketing. Attend client, public relations, and marketing events. Plan and manage business development events - conference sponsorships, client entertainment and receptions, firm sponsored seminars and roundtables, etc. Identify and participate in strategically meaningful community organizations and events. Identify industry appropriate conferences and business development events and represent the firm at these market-facing events. Develop and manage the annual business development budget. Software Used MS Office Suite, desktop publishing software, website platform software, search engine and social media platforms, CRM. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree.
