For more information, visit reedsmith.com. Position Summary Reed Smith has an opportunity for a Legal Recruiting Specialist to work with our Legal Recruiting team in our New York office. You will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team dedicated to providing support to our various Legal Recruiting initiatives and will work closely with our New York Legal Recruiting Manager. Recruiting duties include, but are not limited to, coordination of the law student recruitment process and summer associate program, new associate orientation and integration, and assistance with the recruitment of lateral attorneys for the New York and Princeton markets. Essential Functions Le g al Recruiting Assist with the summer program; plan and attend summer events and trainings, correspond with incoming summer associates, organize logistical aspects of orientation. Assist with the on-campus/recruiting season. Create interview schedules, travel arrangements, pre-arrival information, arrival packages, and follow up with all candidates. Assist with the registration process for on-campus interviews (OCI) for all regional law schools and select Firmwide schools. Assist with lateral recruiting. Create interview schedules, coordinate candidate interviews, and track feedback. Support regional recruiting committees, including scheduling and attending meetings, developing agendas, supporting the committee chair and other activities. Assist Legal Recruiting Manager in planning and attending events related to on-campus recruiting and law school outreach. Point of contact for incoming fall associate class, track related expenses and prepare for arrival. Work closely with other service departments (Payroll, Benefits, Learning & Development and IT) and other HR personnel in other offices. Other special projects as assigned. Job functions included are not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary. Reed Smith reserves the right to revise or modify job functions at any time. Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree required. Experience: Law firm experience is preferred. Skills: Requires strong organizational skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, good judgment, a professional demeanor and the ability to provide an excellent first impression of the Firm. Must work well with all levels of Firm personnel, establish effective working relationships throughout the Firm and react to difficult situations appropriately. Confidentiality is essential. Must be highly motivated, creative, flexible, adaptable to change and results-oriented. Must have strong knowledge of MS Offices products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Other Pay Range: $66,164 - $82,110 . This represents the presently-anticipated low and high end of Reed Smith's pay range for this position. Actual pay may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience. This is a non-exempt role with over-time earnings potential. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Equipment To Be Used: Personal computer and other office equipment such as telephone, calculator, fax, machine, copier, scanner, etc. Typical Physical Demands: Manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment. Typical Mental Demands: Able to work effectively in a fast paced environment. Make judgment decisions and adapt to changing work situations. Grasp and apply new ideas. Communicate with various personalities at all levels. Working Conditions: You will be required to work in the office at minimum 3 days per week. The details of your weekly schedule will be discussed further with your direct supervisor. Occasionally called upon to work hours in excess of your normal daily schedule.
