Summary: The Facilities Maintenance Site Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of Facility Management & Maintenance services to a major DC University. This position will set expectations/priorities, process, governance routines and risk management to drive delivery of maintenance services, facility inspections, client satisfaction and disaster recovery. The person will also be required to foster a collaborative team environment with the client, employees, and vendors to drive optimal team performance while managing costs effectively. Qualifications 8+ years of relevant working experience in a large campus environment Previous management/mentor experience Knowledgeable of local occupational health and safety requirements, critical facilities and vendor management for specialized services Will have responsibility for proactive compliance with safety regulations (OSHA) Understanding of basic technical aspects of property (computer room air-conditioning, chiller system, fire protection system, mechanical & electrical system) Knowledge of standard business and accounting practices Proficiency in a range of information technology tools and platforms. Excellent communication, organization and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently with little supervision and effectively deal with stressful situations Self-motivated; confident, energetic and flexible Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems Responsibilities The Facilities Maintenance Site Manager will provide support to the Account Director with operational activities in maintenance, operations, and repairs, accounting and finance, vendor oversight, equipment and supplies, and fleet management Manages, monitors, and optimizes equipment controls such as elevators, heating and cooling systems, photovoltaic power, emergency generator, UPS, BMS, fire alarm, demand metering, surveillance, and security systems. Manages relationships with vendors and skilled laborers; oversees contractors completing repairs and renovations to the facility; ensures that vendors meet corporate standards and deliver promised services and materials Schedule and manage repairs and maintenance, minor works and other work requests, tracking to completion. Provide information and direction to vendors, facilities staff and other service providers as required to ensure excellent coordination and execution of work, with minimal disruption Assist in the procurement of vendors and services as required Coordinate the delivery of site amenities which may include fitness, food services, support moves as required and act as the site key point of contact Provide coordination and support events, meeting, and conference facilities as required Identify opportunities for improved operation and service excellence, making recommendations for conducting site inspections and assessments to ensure all building procedures and performance measures and safe work practices are adhered to. Update and maintain accurate records and official documentation for the site/s including web pages where any other activities to support USF and/or Client operations, including, but not limited to: moves/reconfigurations, events, reception, and building operations Contribute and adhere to emergency response plans including evacuation, implementation of after-hours emergency response, and environmental health and safety Comply with all requirements of the client contract and meet or exceed Key Performance Indicators Deliver an exceptional quality of service, as reflected by client feedback Coordinate site operations in accordance with all agreed policies, procedures and contract scope Identifies opportunities for and manages continuous improvement in the facility Recruits, selects, manages, coaches and motivates staff; provides guidance and direction on problems and issues; delegates work assignments considering employee skills and development needs May be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth above to address business needs and changing business practices. Requirements DC 3rd Class Engineers License required CFC certification is required LEED Accreditation is highly desirable.
