ASSEMBLER 20-22$/HR IMMEDIATE HIRING Description: Aerotek is working with a Wabtec Company is looking for an a mechanical Assembler. The Assembler is responsible for producing highly engineered, custom built mobile material handling machinery for rail related markets by using mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic assembly techniques as well as welding, electrical wiring and hitching on overhead cranes and jibs. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Read and follow standard work, BOM's, blueprints, routings, specifications and other diagrams/instructions in order to build and assemble parts and equipment in an accurate and timely fashion Obtain necessary tools and equipment Handle material, tools and equipment manually or with jib crane, performing own hitching as required Follows piping diagrams or other instructions to connect hydraulic/pneumatic hosing or piping accurately and timely Maintain high quality standards Consistently maintains level of productivity as determined by management Spray paint parts as required Assembler will be assembling parts to build railcars. Will be using hand tools and reading blueprints/schematics. Experience in wire harness assembly and assembling cables is a huge plus. Will be working alongside 8-10 individuals at the most--must be able to assemble cars from start to finish, including electrical work. Initial training will be provided, but must be very technically inclined. Will be working with a lead during the first 2 weeks, then expected to do 100% job on their own after. Skills: Assembly, Mechanic, Body, Shop, Cable, automotive mechanics, hand tool, mechanical, automotive tech, hydraulics, auto, mechanic diesel, electrical Additional Skills & Qualifications: Wiring Principal Duties Follow wiring diagrams/schematics to connect electrical cabling accurately and timely Perform wiring sequence for point to point direct or harness wiring Wire mounting panels and junction boxes per documentation/instructions Create or re-wire harnesses and cables per documentation General Duties Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards. Ability to fabricate small components Complete production and quality assurance forms Participate actively in team meetings and group discussions Interface with engineering to accurately communicate information Actively participate in continuous improvement activities or events as required Adhere to Quality Management System Requirements 5S activities Ability to read and comprehend procedures written in English PAY AND SHIFT 6AM-4PM M-F 20-22$/HR DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE Experience Level: Intermediate Level About Aerotek: We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
