Are you a responsible, reliable car lover with a good driving record and a positive attitude? One of our open dealership service porter jobs may be a fit for you! We are looking for an enthusiastic, safe driver who can help manage the service stalls in our parking lot by picking up customer vehicles, upholding car dealership display standards, cleaning cars, and handling customer service requests in the showroom and service areas. Our ideal candidate for this car porter role will maintain a professional appearance and greet our customers with a smile. Interested applicants should apply today! Responsibilities: • Manage vehicle flow in our service stalls, service lane, service drive, and within the auto group parking lot• Assure car porter / lot attendant areas are free from debris• Report to the car dealership service advisor on assigned tasks such as following dealership display standards, driving vehicles from service stalls, fielding customer requests, cleaning cars keeping track of key tags, and other assigned duties• Ensure customer vehicles are ready for return after service department repairs• Service customer needs with a positive attitude Qualifications: • Should have a high school diploma or GED equivalent• Possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record• Communication and customer service skills are essential• Completion of the mandatory background check before employment Compensation: $14 hourly About Company: Who is Grote Automotive? Fred Grote has been in the car business for over 25 years. He opened his 1st store in Fort Wayne, IN in 2008. Growing from 25 cars a month to 200 he opened a 2nd store in Warsaw, IN. After Great success there his 3rd store came to Rockford, IL. The 4th and 5th stores have just arrived in IN in 2022 as well. We plan to open 1 more in 2024. We opened here in Rockford in December 2020 and have been growing FAST. We specialize in solving transportation problems that most dealerships can't.
