Position Description Job Summary The Applications Engineer will be responsible for product design, application development, technical assistance, and manufacturing development for metal sealing products. Will provide technical link between customer, sales, quality and manufacturing.Essential functions include:* Oversees new product development from material determination, sample fabrication and subcontractor development through manufacturability trials and in the development of new products and their transition to routine production. (35%)* Researches and recommends changes to manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and/or reduce costs, increase product quality, or provide greater personal and/or environmental safety (45%)* Provides technical support to manufacturing to address production problems and technical assistance to customers through phone interaction or direct visits. (30%)* Recommends and implements methods to increase the quality of services. Provides initial fabrication cost estimates. (5%)* Manages files and drawings inventory (20%) Required Qualifications * Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Material Science* 2+ years' experience working in an Engineering capacity in a manufacturing environment* Demonstrated research and problem solving skills* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, written, verbal and technical writing* Able to operate independently and as part of a team* Ability to lead technicians(s) and manage multiple projects as well as customer interaction.* Solidworks or similar software Additional Description Certain states require pay information be provided in job postings. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this position which is $68,700 to $106,300 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 9% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $74,883 to $115,867. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.Employees have the flexibility to choose the benefits that best fit their individual needs.
