Production Engineer Co-Op A Production Engineer Co-Op/Intern at Mosaic will be assigned to provide technical support primarily to plant operations groups in projects that will focus on improving facility efficiency and final product quality. Where will you work: New Wales Manufacturing Facility at 3095 Highway 640 Mulberry, FL 33860Housing and relocation can be provided for qualified candidates. Term September 3 to December 20, 2024.Full time Co-Op/Internship. 36-40 hrs a week on site What will you do? Day to day work assignments assigned by the supervisor and could include:Provide support to operations group including plant optimization, troubleshooting, efficiency improvement, problem solving, and problem prevention. Assist with data monitoring and statistical analysis to improve product quality and plant performance. Support current business initiatives. Typical initiatives include specific problem-solving projects or improvement activities involving multiple sites.Be vigilant of issues and conditions that can affect their fellow workersCommunicate with various levels of personnel throughout the organization, including management, plant operators, lab personnel, and contractors.Collaborate with Process Engineers and Reliability Engineer groups to ensure alignment.Participation in department meetings and meetings specific to the project assignmentAdhering to Mosaic's mission, guiding principles and priorities, and key competencies What do you need for this role? Sophomore level or higher pursuing a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.2.75 GPA or higherAbility to function in an industrial chemical and mining environment1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or work is requiredPrevious internship or co-op experience is preferredReliable transportation and valid driver's license - You will need to be able to travel to and from sites and/or office.Student in standing during the time of the temporary employmentBasic computer skills are requiredExperience working in a team environment is a mustFamiliarity with an industrial environment is highly desirableEffective verbal communication skills is a plusPhysical work environment is occasionally outdoors with exposure to varying degrees of hot and cold environmentsThe physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the functions of this job.
