The ideal candidate should be passionate about intellectual property (IP) and brand protection, possess a can-do positive attitude, and be eager to work on, and eventually lead, cases from inception to resolution.Duties:Prepare complaints and answers for federal court proceedings related to trademark and copyright litigation.Conduct discovery and document review processes efficiently.Prepare for and participate in depositions, both taking and defending.Conduct research and draft various motions, including discovery motions, motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgment, Daubert motions, and motions in limine.Handle proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB).Provide support and assistance in trademark prosecution matters.Assist in domain name proceedings as needed.Requirements:3-4 years of hands-on experience in trademark and copyright litigation.Familiarity with federal court procedures and practices.Proficiency in conducting legal research and drafting legal documents.Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.Excellent writing and analytical skills.Highly organized and detail-oriented approach to work.Licensed and in good standing with the DC Bar, or ability to waive into the DC Bar.Education Certifications:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Bar in Washington, DC.Skills:Proficiency in litigation procedures and practices.Strong understanding of trademark and copyright laws.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Attention to detail and accuracy in all work processes.
