A well-respected heavy equipment dealer that is looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic / Field Technician . A person that understands the importance of doing a job correctly and the value of satisfied customers. Performs basic diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer owned equipment. Heavy Equipment Mechanic / Field Technician Responsibilities: Inspect, troubleshoot and diagnose Construction equipment and Crushing/screening Equipment for needed repairs and perform designated repairs on customer or company-owned machines as directed. Repairs are made on, but not limited to LIEBHERR, ROADTECH, GOMACO, MANITOWOC, GROVE, and many other exceptional brands of equipment. Technician skills include, but are not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of construction, mining, paving, and lifting equipment. Preventive maintenance and general machine upkeep. Detection of faults through the use of diagnostic laptop computers, gauges, and instruments in all machine systems: electronics, hydraulics, power train, engines, and general machine performance is expected. Occasional operation of a machine in the determination of repair need or repair assessment may occur. Disassemble and assemble machines and components to the manufacturer's specifications through the use of hand tools, pneumatic tools, and any specialized tooling provided by American State. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Research repair needs and order parts as needed Heavy Equipment Mechanic / Field Technician Requirements: 3+ years of experience performing service repairs. Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures. Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of heavy equipment. Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions. Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes. Proficient oral and written communication skills. Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly. CAT , JCB is a PLUS diagnostic experience Repairs are made on, but not limited to Liebherr, Roadtec, Gomaco, Manitowoc, and Grove equipment, Skiders, loaders , Excavadors High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferred.
