Job Description:The Music Business/Management Department within the Professional Education Division at Berklee College of Music is now accepting applications for a part-time faculty member with expertise in Marketing. The candidate should have comprehensive knowledge in marketing principles, brand management, marketing planning, customer relationship management, and market research. Responsibilities: Teach a variety of marketing courses, such as MB-325 Principles of MarketingGuide students through marketing case studies and simulations, emphasizing the evolution of marketing strategies in the digital age.Hold office hours and advise students in their academic progressParticipate in department meetings, and other department-sponsored events as neededMaintain and cultivate professional relationships/network with the music industryWork with the department in its ongoing review, revision, and development of the Music Business/Management program and curriculumAdvance the student experience and the work of the Department, the Division, and the CollegeOther duties as assigned Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in marketing or related field preferredProfessional experience in marketing, especially in contexts relevant to the music industryUnderstanding of modern marketing practices, such as customer needs analysis, marketing mix control, and brand management simulationTeaching experience required; collegiate level preferredExcellent verbal and written and communication skillsCommitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessStudent-centric perspective with a strong commitment to creativity and implementation START DATE The start date for the position is September 2024.
