Our client is collaborating with local authorities around Colchester to recruit a skilled Project Manager for their Finance Systems Project. If you're passionate about driving change and delivering impactful solutions, this is the opportunity for you! About the Role Our client is at the forefront of Shared Services initiatives, aiming to enhance resilience and synergy across Braintree, Colchester, and Epping. Within the Finance workstream, they're spearheading the implementation of common finance practices and a unified finance system. As Project Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in replacing outdated systems with a cutting-edge, cloud-based platform. This is a temporary role initially for 6 months, with potential to extend to 12 months, operating outside IR35 regulations. Responsibilities As the Project Manager, you will: Lead the delivery of a shared finance system across all Councils, in alignment with programme objectives. Identify opportunities to futureproof the service and streamline operations through modern role profiles and functions. Utilise customer insights to enhance the customer journey and satisfaction. Coordinate meetings and build strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple organisations. Ensure effective communication and collaboration between project teams. Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery. Requirements Proven experience as a Project Manager in financial system implementations. Recognised Project Management qualification is desirable. Demonstrated ability to drive change within organisations. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
