Job summary: The Warranty and Service Assistant will perform various clerical duties regarding motor vehicles in support of the service location. Duties/ Responsibilities : Provide customer service including scheduling. Submit warranty claims from service order and customers. Process customer transactions for service. Communicate to appropriate offices regarding warranty; includes Virginia and West Virginia locations. Process payments and complete billing. Provide status update to all parties. Communicate with service manager, technicians and salesmen on units. Locate parts and add to service orders; communicate with parts department. Performs clerical duties including data entry, filing, and completion of appropriate forms. Operates standard office equipment. Required Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of warranty and service orders pertaining to motor vehicles Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Education and Experience: Highschool diploma Experience in service for motor vehicles Physical requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Comfortable in a shop setting.
