Table Server Assistant

Description:
We’re looking for a server assistant who is enthusiastic and excels in a fast-paced environment. As a server assistant, you’ll be bringing customers to their seats, helping serve food, refilling water glasses and other beverages, and restocking food items in the kitchen and servers’ stations. You’ll clear and clean tables, and reset them with tableware and napkins for the next guests. You’ll also field customer inquiries and menu questions and let servers know when they are needed. You should know about food safety rules, and having previous food experience is preferred but not required. This is a great opportunity for someone with excellent customer service skills, who enjoys working as part of a team and is eager to learn food service. Apply if this sounds like a good fit for you! Responsibilities: • Seat customers, respond to any special needs and requests quickly, and relay them to the waiter or manager, if necessary• Oversee restaurant stock and refill condiments as needed. Make sure each waiter station is filled with all the needed items• Serve customers water, and other beverages, bring drinks to them, and make sure all condiments are refilled and placed on the table• Responsible for delivering food to the table on time, making sure to ask if customers need anything more before leaving• Reset tables for the next guests by clearing away dirty dishes, and setting new place settings, napkins, and silverware Qualifications: • Willing to work some nights, weekends, and some holidays, plus pick up extra shifts if necessary• This position requires a high school diploma or a GED equivalent• Must have knowledge of proper handling of food items and various kitchen tools• Has the ability to stand, bend, and lift for longer periods of time for the duration of the shift• Previous food service industry or QSR experience is preferred but not mandatory Compensation: $14.20 plus tips About Company: When you become part of the Woodcliff team, you enter into a rich tradition of extraordinary hospitality that spans over 35 years.
