New Job Opportunity - Biotechnology Patent Agent: New and exciting job opportunity with a client based out of Washington D.C. Candidates must have experience working on patent prosecution matters in the biological, biotechnology, chemical, and pharmaceutical fields Must be registered to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office Job Description/Expectations: Work independently through product development teams to devise a patenting strategy with the goal of building robust portfolios of intellectual property for cutting-edge biopharmaceutical products; Drafting and prosecuting patent applications to protect client products, product candidates and platform technologies on a global basis; Actively supporting various business development activities (e.g., research collaborations and acquisitions) by conducting IP due diligence on assets or technology of interest. Qualifications: Experience working on patent prosecution matters in the biological, biotechnology, chemical, and pharmaceutical fields Registered to practice before the USPTO Four (4) or more years of experience as a patent agent in a law firm or corporate setting, drafting and prosecuting biologic/vaccine patent applications.
