The ideal candidate should have a strong desire to work in a fast-paced litigation practice.Job Overview:The Business Litigation Associate Attorney will be responsible for representing clients in complex business disputes. This role requires expertise in legal research, drafting motions and briefs, managing complex e-discovery, and preparing deposition outlines and exhibits. The successful candidate will possess excellent written and oral communication skills and must be licensed or eligible to be immediately licensed in North Carolina.Duties:Represent clients in business litigation matters before state and federal courtsConduct legal research and draft legal documents, including motions, briefs, and pleadingsManage complex e-discovery processes and document productionPrepare deposition outlines and exhibitsEngage in fact investigation and developmentCollaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and client managementAttend court hearings, trials, and depositions as necessaryRequirements:3-5 years of experience in complex business disputesExperience as a federal court clerk is highly valuedPreference is given to candidates with deposition and court experienceLicensed or eligible to be immediately licensed in North CarolinaExcellent academic credentialsOutstanding written and oral communication skillsEducation Certifications:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the North Carolina State Bar or eligibility for immediate admissionSkills:Strong litigation skillsProficiency in legal research and writingAbility to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectivelyDetail-oriented with strong analytical skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team This rapidly growing firm has some serious chops with regards to the energy and natural resources, financial, insurance, manufacturing, real estate, retail, transportation, life sciences, communications, and health care sectors.
