ABOUT THE POSITION: A Senior Project Engineer will have extensive experience with civil engineering and will be able to effectively communicate that experience to a team of younger P.E.s, E.I.T.s, designers, and CAD Technicians for preparation of construction plans, specifications, exhibits, reports, quantities, cost estimates, etc. for various land development projects. Includes understanding the scope of work, estimated hours, and will be expected to take ownership of engineering design from start to finish. Helps prepare and review engineering plans/documents to be in compliance with regulatory agencies and communicate with the team regarding project timelines and issues, and accurate maintenance of files and contracts is required. Exercise good decision-making, exhibit sound judgment and knowledge, and show responsibility of work produced and overall project success. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs assignments in the design of commercial, single-family, multi-family, and mixed-use developments – including roadway, domestic water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer drainage system design. Creates, executes, and revises project plans as appropriate to meet client needs. Prepares engineering designs and reviews deliverables prepared by the design team for engineering accuracy. Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures. Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately. Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized construction drawings and engineering reports. Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of five (5) years of licensure as a Professional Civil Engineer working in the land development industry Strong preference will be given to candidates with 10+ years of experience. Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil-3D, HEC-HMS or PondPack, HEC-RAS, etc. Ability to lead the creation of designs and drawings supporting our client's overall project goals. Computer skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), AutoCAD (Including Civil3D), HEC Software (HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, etc.), Bentley (PondPack, StormCAD, etc.) Powered by JazzHR
