The Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Quality Control Technician to work at our Technical Services Laboratory in Portage, IN. Pay: $20-22/hr Shift/Schedule: Day Shift Benefits Competitive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Prescription, 401(K) with 3% Employer Contribution, Long- and Short-term Disability Tuition Reimbursement for qualified skilled trade programs Student Loan Repayment Program Employee Referral Program Responsibilities The Quality Control Technician will: Follow all safety procedures and protocols Assist in performing routine testing of aggregate samples (quartering samples, running gradations, washes, moistures, unit weights, specific gravity and picking deleterious; additional testing as required) Enter data into the aggregate quality reporting system Keep accurate records and data Calibrate lab equipment Perform routine housekeeping of lab Plot data on control charts Attend training and work toward identified certifications Perform special projects, studies and other duties as assigned by supervisor Skills The ideal candidate will have: High school diploma or equivalent Aggregate, asphalt or concrete certification, a plus Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook) Basic math skills Basic knowledge of statistics Ability to Lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding and stockpiles Ability to tolerate noise, temperature and environmental variations and working at elevated heights Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% of the time Valid driver's license and excellent driving record To Apply Please submit your resume.
