Description:
General Purpose:The Blend Operator is responsible for following all DFA Ingredient Solutions GMP's and working in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, and quality and sanitation requirements.--Job Duties and Responsibilities:Weighs each ingredient and add to the batchEnsures the product is ready to dryCarries out all QA checks in the mix roomOperates the pH meter, refractometer, etc. to keep product within specificationsPerforms necessary routine cleaning and preventive maintenanceFollows established plant operating and cleaning proceduresFollows Good Manufacturing PracticesAssists with safety analysis and on the job training of new employeesAttends educational training seminars as needed (i.e. loss control)Attends and participates in safety meetingsReports unsafe acts, conditions, and accidents immediately to supervisorAssists in accident investigationsCovers vacations and overtime as needed or requiredAssists with duties in other departments as neededPerforms other work as assigned
