JOB DESCRIPTION The Staff Accountant - Equipment is responsible for maintaining the accounting and financial records for the Company’s equipment inventory and rental fleet. They will work closely with the operations and accounting teams to facilitate daily operations to ensure inventory costs are appropriately captured and recorded. WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU? Generous Medical, Dental & Vision Benefits Employer-provided Short-Term Disability and Basic Life Insurance. 3 Weeks Paid Time Off Retirement Savings Program with Company Match 10 Paid Holidays Per Year Wellness Programs The Opportunity to join a continuously growing organization that includes diversity and inclusion WHEN YOU JOIN US YOU WILL: Manage equipment and rental fleet inventory records for multiple entities Review and post sales transactions for equipment and rental sales Validate inventory equipment transactions daily Evaluate financing alternatives for equipment purchases and make recommendations to management and the operations team Correspond with floor plan lenders and monitor payment requirements Support branch staff relating to equipment and rental fleet inventory movement procedures Assist with completing timely month-end financial closing Prepare and post journal entries and resolve posting errors related to equipment inventory and rental fleet Perform monthly reconciliations on general ledger accounts and subledgers Assist with internal, external, and floor plan audits Perform other duties as assigned by the Company OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS: Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles Intermediate/advanced Microsoft Excel skills Analytical/problem-solving skills Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work on several projects simultaneously Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to remain patient, calm and understanding with employees and vendors with effective tolerance of varied situations Ability to work independently and on a team Chadwick-BaRoss, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer and welcomes all qualified individuals to apply regardless of race, gender, gender identification, sex, sexual orientation, disability, national origin, armed-services status, age, or any other classification protected by local, state, or federal law.
